What's up deviants...
So it's a new year and a new cycle begins. Lots of exciting stuff going on here as I hope there is for you. First up is some info on a couple new things I'm working on. The first is my Project 365 which I started January 1st and will be posting a new image into every day of the year. Deviant isn't my main posting place so I probably will miss a day or two every now and then. You can check out my Facebook which is where I'll be uploading on a daily basis.

The theme I chose for my Project 365 is based on a French photography term which regards images as unusable for print. This constitutes some problem with the photo but usually has a very artistic quality to it. It's a fun way to try new things and make myself experiment on a daily basis.
The next project I have going at the moment focuses on the demolition of an entire city block to make way for a sports arena. This will be a long term project involving photographing every stage of the process, from the current vacant homes and stores to the destruction of them to the building on the new arena. I'm seeking out smaller details that happen but we tend to miss when viewing stages of a project like this.
I love all the signs for the shops that tell you they're closed for good or thanking their customers for so many years of loyalty. Kind of sad but an every day part of life we rarely see. There's already been talk about hanging the images in the arena once it's all finished. That series can be found here:

I have two upcoming shows in the next 2 weeks.
The first is held at Made In Brazil on Friday the 13 from 5-7PM. It's in the Allentown, PA area and an absolutely beautiful establishment. This is in conjunction with the Allentown Restaurant Week which will also feature an Art Walk from restaurant to restaurant and a gallery opening right in the middle of it all. Cool things are starting to take shape in the Lehigh Valley.
The next show after that is my big show, my first solo show. Being held at Blink Optical Boutique in the West End Theater District in Allentown. The layout there is absolutely amazing. The place looks very classy and draws you in. A lot of time & effort has gone into making that place look good. Which makes me step up my game with my display. Lots of cool stuff will be on display, The Arena Project, my Blood & Steel series on metal and all kinds of other assorted photography from my travels.
That show is being held on January 20th. If you're around and can make it come check it out!
